The US Consulates in India monitor the air quality in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. The air quality data is updated every hour and includes the actual levels of PM2.5 particles along with an indexed score between 0 and 500.
Although it’s not uncommon for certain stations to go offline for a day or two, particularly Chennai and Hyderabad, we’ve never seen the situation where every single station is down.
The data stopped live streaming at 4pm on Tuesday and hasn’t come back online since. We’re approaching three days without any update or information on what’s caused the air quality index in India to go offline.
